Fino a due anni fa non ne avevo quasi idea anche io…
Poi è successo che, per una serie di motivazioni, ho portato mia figlia a fare diverse valutazioni ed è ho scoperto (preso consapevolezza) che fosse una gifted…
Ma che vuole dire?
Bisogna prima fare un passo indietro… La letteratura scientifica fa una piccola distinzione tra APC e plusdotati.
Gli APC (alto potenziale cognitivo) sono quei bambini che hanno un QI compreso tra 120 e 129 mente i plusdotati sono quelli con un QI superiore a 130.
Entrambi rientrano nel quadro della giftedness (che è un termine che a me piace molto)
Ma CHI sono i gifted?
Sono bambini, che hanno determinate caratteristiche…
Un’intelligenza sopra la media (QI sopra i 130)
Una forte motivazione ad apprendere
Una spiccata curiosità
Asincronia tra lo sviluppo emotivo e quello cognitivo
Capacità molto superiori alla media in uno o più ambiti accademici (scienze, matematica, lingua…)
